IDawn Technologies

A body harness is protective equipment designed to protect a person, from injury when working in scenarios where they are suspended above ground. Usually utilised as a ‘Fall Arrest’ system, a body harness is fabricated out of rope and cables (usually made out of polyester) and system that locks the rope or cables in a way that safely secures the person utilising it. A body harness also adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health guidelines which relate to employees working on jobs that relate height, such as what IDawn Technologies undertakes, with concern to laying cables alongside building shafts or on the outer walls of the buildings itself.  At IDawn Technologies, we put our employee’s safety first, whilst ensuring that the job gets done.

The Chinese Dragon Cafe which has three branches in Colombo 3, Rajagiriya, and Mount Lavinia, needed a times AC control system in their Rajagiriya and Mount Lavinia branches to cut down on AC usage at times when the restaurant is closed. They initially approached IDawn Technologies with a request for a master switch that the security could turn on and off based on the opening and closing times of the restaurant, but we suggested a Timed solution, and the directors felt that that is infact the better solution.

One of our premier clients Macsa (PVT) Ltd had an issue with servers shutting down during power outages when the office was closed because there was no one there to turn on the generator. This only happens during weekends and at night, but when the power comes back on, the servers don’t restore themselves correctly, and this means that the data on them is inaccessible until the office opens again and the servers are restored.

IDawn Technologies was approached by a senior UNHCR Staff Member to provide Electrical Connectivity to certain areas of the D.S. Senanayake School Grounds for a family fun day that the UNHCR was hosting for the families of refugees residing in Sri Lanka.

This magnificent Beach Side Holiday Home was in need of specialized lighting fittings for their garden. After seeing some of our products at an exhibition, and a few visits to their site we provided them with several fittings that are being used through out their garden and out door areas.

When Etisalat Lanka (pvt) LTD was getting ready to launch their new 3.75G high speed internet service, they needed a demo stall built that could be easily dismantled and transported, even through a narrow stairwell. For this project they contracted a reputed furniture manufacturing company, who in turn came to IDawn Technologies for assistance with the LED Lighting and general power wiring for the stall.

After having done some Electrical Refurbishment at their Head Office in Colombo 3, Chinese Dragon Contacted IDawn Technologies to Refurbish the Fluorescent Fittings in the Kitchen of their Rajagiriya Branch. At first we were called on site because there was an issue with earth leakage, and upon investigation we found that this leakage was caused by oil and soot from the cooking, and burners building up on the fluorescent fittings, inside them, and on the connectors that connect the sittings to the main wiring.

Cantaloupe Aqua, a Cantaloupe & Co project under their subsidiary Cantaloupe Villas, is an up and coming boutique hotel found in the coastal haven of Habaraduwa which required a total solution from IDawn Technologies, that involved Electrical, Telephone, Cable TV, CCTV and Networking Solutions, from the ground up.

While undertaking mostly commercial, and enterprise level projects, IDawn Technologies also does small scale projects like this one. This project includes rewiring garden lighting, installing new fluorescent fittings, gate lamps, driveway lighting, refurbishing some interior wiring, replacing a main Distribution Board and replacing all exterior lighting fittings.

The Chinese Dragon Cafe which is Sri Lanka’s oldest, and most respected Chinese Restaurant, with pioneering dishes such as the Hot Butter Cuttlefish which has become synonymous with Chinese food in this country now contacts IDawn Technologies for all their electrical maintenance work.

After seeing the work that IDawn Technologies did at Cantaloupe Aqua, one of the senior directors of Chinese Dragon Cafe asked us to come in and do new installations and some maintenance work for them. For IDawn Technologies, the chance to work with Chinese Dragon was a great honor because they have the reputation of being the oldest and most well known Chinese Restaurant in the country with pioneering dishes such as “Hot Butter Cuttlefish” which has become synonymous with Chinese Food here in Sri Lanka.

Ginthota Plywood Manufacturers Private Limited required the expertise of IDawn Technologies, to roll out a Total Solution for their Head Office and Factory, which are located in Colombo and Ginthota (in the Southern Province) respectively.

Being a premier client of IDawn Technologies, Cantaloupe & Co needed some urgent lighting done for their Jewellery Booth at Cantaloupe Court before their grand reopening. IDawn Technologies readily rushed to their assistance and completed the entire job in under 6 hours!

Cantaloupe Court consulted with IDawn Technologies for their company’s Total Solution with a CCTV, Lighting,  Networking, and Telephone solution to allow for all around continuity of their operations.

Having come to IDawn Technologies for their Total Solution at their new location in the Galle Face Hotel, the Amuseum Night Club needed Electrical, Network, Telephone, CCTV and A/V solutions done as a whole, with a few more services provided with concern to lighting and mounting hardware.

One of IDawn Technologies’ first clients was the Amuseum Boutique Bar and Club which was at the time  located in the Southern Section of the Galle Face Hotel Regency Wing. IDawn Technologies was first approached to install some specialized lighting at the club, install two large flat screen TVs and also provide connectivity with their Main Office across the road in Galle Face Court 1.
